Low noise, low wear, at least same fuel economy as original eagle nct.

I did a lot of resaearch into winter tyres, & eventually decided to buy a set of tyres (note tyres & wheels). I took the car skiing last year, and assumed a 4WD with good tread summer tyres would be OK. I struggled on hills, and fresh snow on the road was tricky. switched to winter tyres in November, and chose the same noise/wet rating as my summer tyres. no problems with local winter snow & ice - the real test will be skiing. No difference on French motorways - noise/speed/handling the same, but in the Ski resort it was like a different car. A must just for the safety factor. Back in the UK tyres felt a bit soft when temperatures reached 12c +, so swtiched back to summer tyres end of March (via local tyre fitter). Not sure you could keep these on all year round (especially with current summer temperatures !).

It may be a characteristic of winter tyres although I have not seen any comment but these tyres feel like I am driving on jelly when at speeds over 60 in the dry
