To be honest i switch between tyres every time i need to change them!, I have used Avon, falken, Bridgestone,Toyo. These Vredestein have been the best all round tyre i have ever used!! My silvia is 357 BHP an i have never felt comfortible to give it some right food in the wet! very impressed with the grip in the wet! even moreso in the dryMy only complaint is that they wear way to quickly but it is what you expect from a grippy tyre! A+++++++

I bought these tyres based on reviews from this site despite never having heard of this brand before. So far I do not regret the decision! Previously I have run Dunlop Sport 9000s and GY Eagle F1s (GSD3s) on my E39 M5. The F1s were better on balance, good dry grip and were very durable (20k miles on back). However compromised grip in the wet was the penalty, 3rd gear would struggle to hook up in damp, forget 1st and 2nd. Given that I live in Aberdeen, these tyres are definitely not suitable for cold / wet / winter / Scottish roads! I fancied a change, and these tyres were coming in between the F1 GSD3s and the Asymetrics, so I went for a punt and £660 worse off for 4 tyres inc. fitting was reasonable for this car. When the Vlidestreins first arrived I thought there has been a boo-boo and I had been sent 4 tyres for the same side of the car, as when installed there is no symmetry from left to right, I am quite certain this would result in a difference of characteristics most likely in the wet with different water dispersion characteristics, but I suspect I will never push hard enough around damp corners to tell. A quick look online showed this is how the tyres are supposed to be. I have covered 100miles of backroad driving, and they have scrubbed in nicely. Stiffer sidewalls and excellent wet road grip is impressing. I have not seen any dryroads yet (and may not for some weeks / months to come) so cannot comment. In 2nd gear these tyres hook up nicely, where my old F1s would have been spinning. The only questionmark is around longevity, if these tyres take my punishment and last even 75% of the miles the old F1s do then I will definitely return. Time will tell…….
